A Change

We have been having some issues with Moon’s homeschooling. She has been fighting lessons for about a week. Finally, on Friday, she and i had a discussion. She doesn’t like the Waldorf Method – there is too much drawing involved. Moon said this, my little Artist who draws all the time.

So, during our talk we came up with a new option. Less drawings, more other stuff.

I’m big on methods, not so big on just slapping a workbook down. So, I did a little (more) research and decided to give the Charlotte Mason method a try, just for her. Sun still prefers Waldorf Inspired learning, so we will be sticking with that (I cant wait to share his pages for Local Geography!).

Because I am always finding new things online, and because I am constantly re-evaluating how I am bringing lessons to my children, you may witness quite a few changes through the school year. One day, we will find something for each topic that works. Until then, we will continue trying.
